Volunteer Speedway

Volunteer Speedway is located in Bulls Gap, Tennessee.

Description: This track is a high banked, high speed 4/10 mile dirt oval. The turns are banked at 30 degrees.

This track is perhaps the best known of all East Tennessee’s dirt tracks.

The track runs a weekly show on Friday nights as well as hosting numerous special events. Various touring series such as the Lucas Oil Late Model Seriers and the AMA Flat Track Motorcycle Series visit the speedway regualrly.

The track hosts a special two-day event each year known as ‘The Scorcher’ during the week of the Bristol Motor Speedway NASCAR race in August. This event features top late model drivers racing for big money. NASCAR stars have been known to participate in the event as well.

Directions: The track is very easy to find. It is located just west of Interstate 81-Exit #23.
