The Mountain Raceway is located in Maryville, Tennessee.
Description: Once known as Smoky Mountain Raceway, The Mountain Raceway is perhaps the most historic of East Tennessee’s weekly tracks. At one time, the facility hosted NASCAR events with the likes of Richard Petty, David Pearson and the Allisons having raced there. Now, the track is a moderately banked 4/10 mile dirt oval with long straights and tight turns.
The track offers a regular weekly racing show on Saturday nights. Among the weekly classes are Mini Stocks, Pure Mini, Modified Mini, Street Stock, Crate Late Models and Sportsman.
Also, the track hosts special events such as the Tennessee Thunder Dirt Car Series and the O’Reilly Southern All Star Series.
The track has to abide by a curfew so racing must end by 11:00pm.
Directions: The track is located south of Maryville just off Highway 411 on Brick Mill Road.
